Legato Shelter in Place Performance - Eunice (11th grade)

Eunice plays a stunning rendition of the "Sonata in D Kp. 214" by D. Scarlatti. This piece is played with an exciting, joyful, clear tone, exactly as the late -Baroque composer, Scarlatti, intended. Also, she does a great job with the challenging articulation, which is not strictly legato, nor staccato. We're very impressed, thanks for the submission Eunice. She's a student of Ms. Haruna.

We have a spectacular performance from Samvrit, playing "Barcarolle" (G minor) by Tchaikovsky. This piece is one of twelve short character pieces from Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons." Samvrit's melodies cross between both emotions, sorrow and hope, just as the piece is written to convey. Samvrit is a student of Ms. Yelena. The following epigraph was made for this piece (translated from Russian): No. 6. Barcarolle (June): “Let us go to the shore; There the waves will kiss our legs. With mysterious sadness The stars will shine down on us.” — Aleksey Pleshcheyev Samvrit's very successful and determined in many areas in his life, and he even earned a State Honor in a certification exam recently. Samvrit's an awesome young man and we're thrilled to preset to you this submission.

Here's Hannah's beautiful rendition of Reinhold Gliere's "Prelude, Op. 43, No. 1." This performance has flowing color- washing the listeners with arpeggios, to which melodic lines can be traced. Hannah is in 9th grade and is a student of Ms. Yelena. This is the fourth submission of our Legato Music School Shelter in Place Performance Series, and it is phenomenal.
